BIO-DOPP Process High-Efficiency Sedimentation Separation Unit

Overview

The BIO-DOPP process draws on advanced technology from abroad and the best of Chinese water treatment practice. It is widely applied to many types of industrial wastewater and municipal sewage treatment.

The BIO-DOPP process achieves fairly complete simultaneous nitrification and denitrification. It also offers the advantages of low dissolved oxygen, high sludge concentration, a maximised microbial population, specialised microbial communities and highly efficient degradation, effectively removing organic pollutants from the water.

The integrated BIO-DOPP structure places several units - denitrification, phosphorus removal and sedimentation - in a single treatment tank. This greatly simplifies the process, saves footprint, reduces pipework investment and makes operation and control simpler.

The BIO-DOPP process uses a high-efficiency sedimentation and separation unit with a two-stage AB settling arrangement: stage A uses framed corrugated plate modules (ABS, stainless steel) and stage B uses ethylene-propylene copolymer (PP) honeycomb inclined tubes. Conventional sludge-water separation ensures a clear effluent, while continuous circulation of sludge from the bottom of the clarification zone keeps the biology in the aeration tank stable. The high-efficiency rapid sedimentation unit also saves substantial investment, typically avoiding the high cost of a secondary clarifier and associated pumps. The BIO-DOPP process is a highly efficient advanced biological wastewater treatment technology. It has been applied in hundreds of projects at home and abroad, winning recognition from industry experts and delivering significant social and economic benefits.

High-Efficiency Sedimentation Separation Unit

The high-efficiency sedimentation separation system has two functions: first, conventional sludge-water separation to keep the effluent clear; second, continuous circulation of sludge from the bottom of the clarification zone to keep the biomass in the aeration tank stable.

A1 Framed Corrugated Plate Module (ABS)

Water flows upwards through the corrugated plates, and settled sludge concentrates and slides down in the troughs of the corrugations. This improves sludge slide-down performance, aids sludge-water separation and raises settling efficiency.

The plates have high stiffness, accurate geometry, a smooth surface and good sludge discharge performance.

Standard plate size: vertical height 1,000 mm, width 1,300 mm, corrugation wavelength 500 mm, plate assembly spacing 60-100 mm, inclination 60°.

Material: ABS, SUS304.

Standard module size: length 2,000 mm, width 1,300 mm, height 1,000 mm.

Can be fabricated to design requirements.

A2 Framed Inclined Plate Module (SUS304)

Water flows upwards through the inclined plates and settled sludge slides down the plates. This improves sludge slide-down performance, aids sludge-water separation and raises settling efficiency.

The plates have high stiffness, accurate geometry, a smooth surface and good sludge discharge performance.

Standard plate size: vertical height 1,200 mm, width 1,000-1,200 mm.

Material: ABS, PVC, SUS304.

Plate assembly spacing 60-120 mm, inclination 60°.

Can be fabricated to design requirements.
