The mechanical accelerated clarifier is a structure that integrates coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation into a single tank through mechanical agitation. Under mechanical stirring, the suspended active sludge blanket comes into contact with chemically dosed raw water, increasing particle collision opportunities and enhancing coagulation efficiency. The separated clear water rises upward and flows out through collecting troughs, while a portion of the settled sludge is recirculated and mixed with dosed raw water for further reaction, with the remainder being concentrated and periodically discharged. This type of clarifier exhibits strong adaptability to variations in water flow and ion concentration, delivering stable treatment performance and high efficiency.

In the clarifier, raw water first enters an annular triangular distribution channel and flows uniformly through the gap between the triangular channel and the conical cylinder into the first flocculation chamber.
Coagulants may be added to the triangular distribution channel or the first flocculation chamber. Under the action of the stirring device, raw water makes thorough contact with the sludge in the first flocculation chamber, where fine impurities in the water are adsorbed and flocculated. The resulting flocs are lifted by the stirring impeller into the second flocculation chamber for further agglomeration, forming larger and stronger flocs before entering the separation zone for solid-liquid separation. The clarified water overflowing from the separation zone flows into radial collecting troughs located at the upper section and is then gathered into an annular channel for discharge. Meanwhile, a portion of the settled sludge re-enters the first flocculation chamber through the return gap between the skirt plate and the conical tank wall to participate in adsorption and flocculation anew, while the rest is collected and discharged via the sludge hopper.
Inclined plates or tubes are incorporated into the solid-liquid separation zone to enhance the efficiency of sedimentation and separation.
