Paddle Mixer

Mainly used in large or medium-sized water plants or wastewater treatment plants for dissolving coagulants and other chemicals, as well as for liquid-phase mixing and blending of organic or inorganic liquids of different specific gravities in tanks or containers.

Frame Mixer

The frame mixer can be regarded as a variant of the paddle mixer. Its structure is relatively sturdy and can handle a large volume of material being stirred.

Working Principle and Features

The frame mixer has a relatively large diameter, generally taking 2/3 to 9/10 of the reactor's inner diameter, with a speed of 50–70 r/min.

The connection method between the frame mixer and the mixing shaft is similar to that of the paddle type, i.e., the end of the impeller connected to the mixing shaft is made into a semi-circular shaft collar, and then the two semi-circular rings from the blades on both sides are clamped onto the mixing shaft with bolts, while through-shaft bolts are used to secure the blades to the shaft. Due to the large overall dimensions of the impeller, the blades are mostly connected with bolts for ease of assembly and disassembly. The impeller is mostly made of flat steel or angle steel, and to enhance its strength, reinforced steel plates can also be used.
