The rotary bar screen (also called a solid-liquid separator) is widely used at the inlets of municipal wastewater treatment plants, waterworks, pumping stations and power plants to automatically intercept and remove floating solids from the water and ensure smooth operation of the downstream processes. It can also be used for solid-liquid separation in textiles, printing and dyeing, slaughterhouses, leather making, paper making, sugar refining, brewing and food processing.

Compact structure and simple electrical control, easy to automate; excellent corrosion resistance, low energy consumption and low noise; continuous screening action, clean discharge and high separation efficiency.
The equipment uses specially shaped rake teeth made of ABS engineering plastic, nylon or stainless steel, mounted in a fixed sequence on rake-tooth shafts to form a closed rake-tooth chain, the lower part of which runs in the inlet channel water. When the drive system turns the chain sprockets at a constant speed in a fixed direction, the whole rake-tooth chain travels from top to bottom and carries solid debris out of the liquid, while the fluid flows away through the gaps between the teeth. Operation is continuous.
Thanks to the special shape of the rake teeth, when the chain carries debris to the upper end and reverses direction, adjacent rakes move relative to each other in a self-cleaning action, so that debris falls off under gravity. A rotary cleaning brush can be fitted behind the equipment to remove any debris remaining on the rake teeth; please specify this when ordering.
