Integrated Water Purification Unit

Integrated Equipment Series (Skid-Mounted)

Waterworks-Type Purification Unit

The integrated water purification unit combines coagulation, sedimentation, sludge discharge, backwashing, water collection and filtration in a single package. It is a series of purification units capable of fully automatic single-unit operation without manual attendance, and forms an important building block for automated waterworks management. Combined with automatic chemical dosing and disinfection equipment it becomes a complete water purification station or plant.

This series offers a wide range of applications, good treatment performance and excellent effluent quality, while consuming little water and power and occupying a small footprint. It saves electricity, water and labour, and eliminates the need for auxiliary pumps and facilities - a new generation of energy-efficient equipment.

Process Principle

  • Mixing: dosing is metered automatically by the chemical dosing unit; multi-stage mixing takes place in a liquid-liquid in-line mixer and is intensified within the purifier.

  • Flocculation: contact flocculation technology and equipment improve the flocculation gradient and form dense flocs, laying the foundation for sedimentation.

  • Sedimentation: based on the shallow-layer settling principle, high-efficiency inclined tubes are installed with a contact flocculation zone beneath, giving good solid-liquid separation and strong resistance to shock loads.

  • Filtration: high-precision filter heads and plates with homogeneous media provide high dirt-holding capacity and good effluent quality.

  • Backwash: a low-resistance distribution system with optional gravity automatic backwash and combined air-water backwash distributes water and air evenly and uses little backwash water.

  • Sludge discharge: multi-hopper gravity discharge with quick-opening valves gives high sludge concentration and saves water.

Technical Parameters

Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

The integrated wastewater treatment unit combines the primary clarifier, first- and second-stage contact oxidation tanks, the secondary clarifier and the sludge tank in a single package, with blast aeration in the first- and second-stage contact oxidation tanks. This effectively combines the contact oxidation and activated sludge processes, retaining the advantages of both while overcoming their drawbacks, and further raises the standard of wastewater treatment.

ZC Integrated Wastewater Treatment Equipment

ZC integrated wastewater treatment equipment is suitable for decentralised point-source domestic wastewater treatment outside the service area of municipal sewer systems, such as townships, residential areas, hotels, tourist attractions, airports, stations and wharves - scattered locations where people gather. The treated effluent can be better than Grade 1A of the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (GB 18918-2002).

Principle

ZC integrated wastewater equipment is designed on the basis of the conventional A/O process combined with Zhongchang's own approach, using aeration and solid-liquid separation technology together with a special tank structure to maintain a high activated sludge concentration - up to 8,000 mg/L in operation. The activated sludge flocs produced have the characteristics of high density, good settleability and thorough sludge-water separation. After pre-treatment the wastewater enters the ZC unit, where control of dissolved oxygen alternates the sludge growth environment between anoxic and aerobic conditions to achieve highly efficient simultaneous nitrification and denitrification. The high sludge concentration raises the biochemical degradation efficiency of COD and also assimilates part of the phosphorus.
